First, LIBERATE Your Inner Actor - Then, SHARE IT with the World

Why are professional actors never on time for an audition?
Because they are always 10 minutes early.

If 10 minutes early is good, shouldn’t I try to be even earlier, like say, 30-60 minutes?
No, if everyone came that early, the waiting room would be mobbed. Exceptions might be that you arrange to be earlier in order to take care of other specific business with the agency.

What if I need to get there early to read the script?
Always try to get the script ahead of time, but if you can't, ask if it's OK to be early.

What should I do if I’m running late for a scheduled audition?
Don’t be running late.

What if I can’t help it?
Help it.

Alright, let’s say I’m on a train going to an audition and the train stops on the tracks or an hour and they’re not letting anyone off, what do I do?
Call your agent and explain.

What if I don’t have a cell phone?
Have one. You’ll also need it for many other actor related circumstances .

So what if I”m a little late, anyway? What’s the big deal? Why does it matter?
Clients hate waiting for actors to show up, especially actors that are late.
If you get a reputation for being an actor who “runs late”, you’ll stop getting called. If agents often submit actors who run late, the client might start using other agents whose actors are on time.
